I have a 172 sportcrat fisherman with 1.6 seadrive 86'. i have good spark and 125# compression on all 4. pump ball does not get hard right away but after running a bit it does. so with that being said here is my problem. when i take off and hit 2000 rpm boat stays down. when i advance throttle i get no motor response on tack and doesnt pick up speed but bow starts to rise, it does this for i would guess 50 or so yards than it gradually starts to pick up speed and run. i have a 17'' prop. tried 15" some thing just slowed top end down. i have a doel fin on i am thinking with that much weight in back should use trim tabs. but this couldnt have run like this new. also can adjust idle on muffs and will adjust put in water and adjust it doesnt go up. idles at 600 rpm idling and in gear. idles a little better when trimmed up and upper exhaust is out of water but when trimmed down with upper exhaust in water 600 is all i get even with idle screw all the in. any comments would be great.
