I have a friend who wants to buy a salvage Scarab that was involved in a highway accident the boat sustained some hull damage(see link Pics). I have good experience with fiberglass rebuild for corvettes, but have limited experience with boats. He seems to think that this is a quick fix. Any thoughts?

He went to see it and it runs well on muffs? I'm still worried about what may be lurking beneath the surface.

The glassing you'll be doing is different than the glassing you've done on 'vettes. Same technique and principle, but the loads a boat gets subject to are greater than a car...
As for quick fix, I'd say not, looks like you'll have to access the inside, and outside of the repair area, and do a bit of grinding...It was wrote off for a reason...
It's a sweet *** boat thought!!

Thanks I knew that the structure needs of a boat would be a lot more than a car. Now to convince him of this.

Sounds intresting. Here is what would do get marine survery to document the depth of the damage. cheapest insurance you could ever get....Then post the survery here and let a memeber called opp's give you the news...He's quite good.
