OK, I stole this idea from a guy over on the G3 forums. You folks know that since buying the Liquid Limo a year ago I've been on a mission to find all things Starcraft that are out there. Specifically the 60's and early 70's. I've gathered a ton of brochures, price lists, Mercruiser info, even ads from old 60's era magazines.

So, I thought, why not share? Each Sunday or Monday, I'll post up a scan of some old Starcraft related stuff for your enjoyment.

Positive and negative comments welcome

Since this is the debut of the thread, I'm gonna do two scans. The first scan is from the 71 brochure and is for our ole buddies Bob, KEV and Rick. This should put some lead in thier pencils

The next one is also from the 71 brochure and is for Brad & Bret. Nice boat huh?

NB ... this is an awesome idea. that SS in the first pic is sooooooooo sweeeeeeeet oh, and i have to say thanks NB for yet another paint scheme idea ... like i wasnt already burnt out on paint ideas .. LOL anyway, thanks for doing this NB very cool scott

Thanks NB...I want to have an Islander/Chieftain docked inside my castle someday just like those folks

Also I like how some guy is taking a picture of the SS like it's the sweetest boat he's ever seen...it probably was too

Great pics...keep 'em coming...oh wait we have to wait 7 DAYS for new ones LOL

There are no photo credits on the 71 brochure, but all the 60's era brochure photos were shot by Ozzie Sweet, a legend in the sports photo world.

Scott that isn't painted that is a vinyl covering might even have a tad of cush under it. NB these are sweet to look at I love these old advertising pics anything vintage.

BF if you go to the Yahoo Starcraft group they have a full 74 brochure for the runabouts including the american .


NB that is a sweet lookin pair of boats . The SS almost looks like my Jupiter only with Bow seating .

the Yahoo group doesn't have the cruisers though, at least for us 70's, not that I saw anyway.. Those are really nice, I like the blue.. I'm thinking of changing from RED (yuk) to Blue..
