I hope we are all enjoying the sun and the Bank holiday weekend. I have a few sanity checks and a question, that i hope you clever people would be able to help me with.
Sanity Checks:
i have just bought a 2nd hand engine (Mariner 60Hp) with the serial number 0D042628 - so using the info on the site i think i have a Mariner 60HP with a year of 1991 - is that correct?
I have tried to use this sites links to the service manual but i do not seem to be able to find one that falls in line with my S/N make / HP - a little guidance here would be great!
Power Tilt and Trim Problem
Engine runs fine no splutters or anything it is in good condition and connections are all good (not given it a good going over yet plan to do that tomorrow hence my question)
so i was putting the muffs on and to make it easier i decided to just tilt the engine up a little bit, so i pressed the button on the side of the motor casing and it started to tilt up fine then stop... Hhm i thought not enough juice in the battery so i turned water on started the engine and tried again from both the button on the casing and the control unit, nothing turned engine off change battery still nothing.
Checked connection etc (very quickly) all seemed ok - what i did notice was when i press the button on casing or on control box i can here the (relay switch) think it is that @clicking@ so power is getting that far? that is why i need to get my hands on service manual for wiring diagrams etc - anyone have any suggestions before i head out tomorrow to spend some time on it?
