salvage Bass Buggy Pontoon railing and bumper

Good evening,

We are getting deep into creating the Mary E Pontoon Vessel which we intend to cruise up and down the upper Mississippi river this fall in honor of our 50 years together.

We purchased a salvage 18' Bass Buggy for the structural components but we are building the Mary E 24' long so we need 12' of additional railing and 12' of additional bumper.

Does any one know where I might find such items at a reasonable cost?

Rails are one of the few items that the boat companies make themselves and they are very specific to the boat they go on so all you can do is run around a salvage yard and see what you can find.

You could probably have some made but I wouldn't want the bill for that.

24' of deck space on 18' toons can present a host of problems. I am curious to know how you intend to address these issues.

As posted above, you could be into some big bucks making this conversion. Why not just start with a 24 footer?
