we own a 2004 50- horse yamaha and just discovered that the alarm was not hooked up and when i do hook it up it buzzes. the problem started 2 weeks ago with the motor suddenly shutting down to about 7 mph while at full throttle. the motor is pissing water and doesn't miss or run rough. it just wont go! we thing it could be the thermostat or the oil filter may be plugged. I don't know where the thermostat is even located but these seem to be the possiblle problems according to my handbook. could you offer any advice? thanks salmon1
