Pay a GOOD mechanic to go with you to check out any " great bargain ". The odds against finding a good one. 1 out of 50 thousand.
Do not buy used or dealer new. They have flooded new motors to sell also.

I agree. But for the current situation I would pass 100%. I imagine the people spent a lot of time on their house and didn't bother too much with the outboard.

Just saw a car hauler with a bunch of Mercedes and BMWs on it. Salt crystals around the door seals....

Not only boats and motors but vehicles as well. We have a big auction house nearby, within the next 3-4 weeks I will expect there hugh parking lot to fill with vehicles, does every time a major storm comes thru....
