I just bought a 1990 Evinrude 15hp. The s/n is on the case but the tag on the top of the block is missing. Does this mean it has been replaced? Do the replacements have a number on them somewhere else? The thing is very clean so it shouldnt be too hard to find. The guy I bought it from did not know any history. I checked all functions, compression lube very thoroughly. I was just wondering about tag. Thanks.
