Our system seems to have worked. A corrupt governor selling out the public trust and cost the lives of 6 citizens gets 6 years in prison for his part in the enterprise. Not enough in my opinion but it was swift by usual political measures. As he is 72 I would suspect this might end up as a life sentence. He also is still to apologize to the suriviving members of the family who deserve something. Ryans lawyers felt that the humiliation of the trial was penalty enough to mitigate any time behind bars. People died! What a sick group.
