Running Hydraulic Lines

I just finished up replacing the hydraulic lines (for trim control on the stern drive) in my boat. what a PITA!!!! For future reference is there an easier way to do this? Ended up feeding them through the transom from the outside but still took me a lot longer that it probably should have...

pull the drive and motor first.

Well they were both pulled lol, so I guess I had it as easy as I was going to get...

Ayuh,..... Pullin' through a string as you pull the old ones out, helps alot,.....

Only way it can be easier with motor and drive removed, is having the transom assembly on the work bench
