It goes the other way as well.
I used to camp on an island in Honey harbour,on a National Park.
There were always a couple of dozen idiots who would tie together, maybe 8 each.
They would anchor a hundred feet of the campsite dock, right in line with the bay opening. Idiots, like parking in the middle of the road.
They would come to the campsite dock, use the washrooms and garbage facilities campers were paying for.
I had no problem of conscience running by them and creating a wake that would bounce them together like bumper cars.
They sometimes would say something, I would point out the error in their ways.

I think u guys better watch your asses messing with some young wakeboarders like myself if you throw something at me because u are old and grumpy your going to get your *** kicked and the other people on the boat will do the same. we are not trying to be asses we are trying to ride on the glass of the water which means moving the boat all around the lake so we are not hitting are own wakes except for double ups.

lol im 6 foot 275 and most of my buds are the same. police officers or military backgrounds, so hopefully we dont ever butt heads as it sure sounds like it could get fun!!! in the same breath id have no problem with you if you used your head and showed respect and i did the same.....my experiences were with idiots swarming me or going circles around me in a bay etc, running the lake looking for flat water doesnt bother me a bit

In this situation their actions were rude and inconsiderate... yours were criminal.....

As stated above two wrongs don't make a right.

never saw someone in prison before for making a wave that cause two rafting boats to bounce off each other. seems to me both would fall under rude and inconsiderate so to speak. criminal? nah. two wrongs dont make a right, but sometimes two wrongs make a POINT

unless more information is made available the morons rafting in the way weren't breaking the law.... Making a wake close to the dock (I assume in a no wake zone) and in close proximity to another boat is against the law at least in the places I've been.... I don't know where honey harbor is... canada maybe?.... either way of course one wouldn't go to prison for that... duh... I roll with a few military/police types too.... It's always funny when someone comes looking for a fight and someone produces a badge and asks for ID... they pretty much always become MUCH more agreeable

For not trying to be an ***, you sure did succeed. The first time you touch one of us old guys, your a** will go directly to jail. Your boat will go to permanent impound. In general, you must keep your wake away from other people at anchor. It is the law, like it or not. Personally, my best weapon is my cell phone. I will take your picture and send it not just to the cops, but to the prosecutors office. What was described in the postings above is assault with a deadly weapon. This is a CRIMINAL act in any state in the union. At least here in the state of Michigan, the water belongs to everyone. That means that everyone must share the water.
