I have a 1982 MonArk bass boat, its carpet which is attached directly to the fiberglass is worn and in some spot completely gone with some old glue remaining. I'm thinking, and if somebody has any experience with rubberized spray-in bedliner for truck, will it work? Will spraying direct to the worn out carpet okey? If I have to remove the carpet and the glue, what type of adhesive remover is best. Is there a preferred rubberized spray liner. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

An angle grinder with a cup brush "might" help remove the glue but since it is almost 30 yrs old I doubt it. Spray bedliner onto a carpet?? NO it will create a horrible mess!

Many people have had problems using bed liner on a boat since it separates from the deck. Do a search for durabak and roll that on or go with a rolled piece of vinyl or then again re-carpet.

Actually my brother-in-law did this in his Dodge Dakota and it came out pretty sweet.

However, I would recommend you remove the carpet. I believe others on here have had success with MEK

Then look into a coating like Durabak, Kiwi Grip, Herculiner, etc etc.
