My pontoon with Evinrude 115, the Rpms redlined while barely moving. Sounds like the prop is spinning fast and the Rpms going up and boat is moving slow. Need help fast before tomorrow.
Motor spinning fast but not going anywhere fast normally means prop not spinning.
Try it on a hose, its possibly a spun prop which is where the bushing rubber lets loose inside it
Never tried this, but maybe a drywall screw or two into the hub would expand it enough to get through the holiday fun. (!) That assumes you don't have time to get into a prop shop and buy a replacement/get yours repaired, or borrow a prop from a buddy who is not boating this weekend.
