routing oil pump lines

1989 90hp yamaha. I replaced the oil pump on this motor when i put a new powerhead on it. Seems everything is running fine,but a simple question. I wasnt really sure where the oil pump lines went to which cylinder when i installed the new pump. Does this matter? I bled the system and its using the right amount of oil. My manual just says to remember where the lines go but doesnt say which line goes where. The pump has 2 outlets on 1 side and 1 on the other.

the yamaha manual has a schematic for oil line routing.<br />visit your local dealer and ask them to photcopy this page for you.
