Hello everybody, I hope Ive posted in good section.
So far the season was pretty good but today during leaving our parking/docking spot in marina
we have caught rope in prop, it was in neutral or forward idle detend only.
The engine dies/stalled I didnt realised what happened, started again and then my wife said we have caught something into a prop.
Ive put my Alpha drive all the way up and saw the line around the prop, Ive unscrewed the rope from the prop and boated all the way without any issues But now I am worried if something could happened to the engine, drive?

cheers from Italy

Engine stalled at idle is what happened to it. If it was going 2000rpm and came to an instant stop, yes then I would be worried.
Does your Prop have a Rubber Hub, or one of the Shattering Style of replaceable hubs?
You can always pull the Prop, and you will find no Damage, but it gives you a chance to remove and Fishing Line wrapped around the Propshaft.

I've picked up a rope (crab pot) more than a couple of times on Flo-torq and rubber hubs.

At speed, the prop cuts right through the rope. At idle, it stalls the motor right out.

Never seen or heard of anyone blowing a prop hub on a rope, especially at idle
