Re: Rolmops, my apology

Lets not get carried away. There are many lawyers who are a credit to their profession. They make this country better for all by their participation.

Then there are some who use their position to intimidate, threaten, extort, and coerse others because they were smacked around on the playground or had the teat pulled away too early as a child. They manipulate the law to meet their shallow view of right and wrong or to stack the cards in their favor regardless of the ramifications to those around them. In this way they can then use the law as a justification for their own machinations. The law lost most of its value when it no longer was about justice or right and wrong and more about self agrandizement brought about by winning at any cost. When redistribution of wealth is part of a legal equasion then it isn't about the law it is about social policy and pocket legislation. Lawyers have earned their reputations whatever they may be, but as a profession they have less trust than used car salesmen. Lawyers and judges have made the law unusable for a majority of Americans.

There are 40,000+ members on this board that could have been offended by txs comments, and he had been appraised of the word's offensive connotation on several occasions. I guess we all owe rolmops a thank you for finally getting it accomplished.
