i'm looking for some fishing rod holders for the rail of my 05 Suntracker pontoon. I saw some in the catalog for the 08 suntracker's. i went to my local bass pro shop and they don't carry them. i've been to west marine, academy, etc. the one's in the suntracker ad looked like they just sandwiched the 1" rail and had a single rod holder and a cup holder.

where can i get some of these jewels.

Is this the one you are looking for? I found the picture in a suntracker ad.

This seems like it would be very easy to cut from either white plexiglass or 1/2" plywood, painted white for a few bucks.

Or, you can buy them at a boat store for $50-100 each.

they look to be made of "starboard" but 5/8 plywood, jig or band saw, some sanding, it would be easy to duplicate. i am saving the picture, for my restore.

You would think. It was just a guess on my part, but I do know that boating parts cost far more than you would think. They just don't generally have the volume needed to amortize the development and tooling costs to make them really cheap. I have had pretty good luck making what I can, then close my eyes and throw out money to get the rest.

This one is a nice design, I will probably make a few for myself eventually.

Thanks for bringing to our attention!
