Here is a homebuilt version of a Rock Guard that works great. It was made with a square tubing that rests on the hitch receiver. I used some angled stainless steel brackets to hang the large truck flaps from. A u-bolt permanently attaches them to the receiver. To remove them from the vehicle just pull the receiver pin and slide it out with the flaps attached. It does reduce your fuel economy a little but I don't complain because I don't have to worry about road rash on the front of my boat.
Works for me!
