I just picked up a 310 Fastroller. Got a great deal but the anti-skid fins in the rear are partially ripped. I was going to trim them as best I can but I wonder if they can be replaced. Anybody know?

Re: Ripped Anti-Skid Fins

Hi,

What are anti-skid fins and what are they made of? PVC? rubber? Plastic?

Can you get some Zodiac repair material and glue some of it to either side of the tear hence bonding the torn place back together? Maybe glue a thin piece of aluminum to both sides of the tear.

I would use a product called GOOP. But it's not what the Zodiac folks would recommend. It takes more than 24 hours (sometimes 48 hours or more if it's cool and/or humid) to dry but once it's dry it is almost indestructible. It's clear, UV resistant, flexible, abrasive resistant, strong, and tough. It is a little messy but on the bottom of a boat, who cares.
