Richter anchor

Does anybody have any experience with a richter anchor. Do they hold well? Do they hang-up? At 40-50 bucks I don't want to leave one on the river bottom. Most anchoring would be done in the Hudson river. Outgoing tide can produce a good current. Thanks

I have one that I use on windy days on my 18ft(115 with 9.9 kicker. It holds where my "Digger" brand just wouldn't hold. The Rictors come in different weights so be sure to get a heavy one. I can't remember what weight I have but it is almost too heavy as my power winch can bearly rewind the rope on the way up from the bottom.<br /><br />StillFishin'
