Reviving dead topics

so here I am posting to a week old thread -- but get annoyed (feeling kind of suckered, maybe) when I end up posting some gem to one of those resurrected threads, compounding the problem. I often don't notice the date until a moderator points it out. Maybe if the auto date and time was shown in bold, italics, bigger font. Maybe all of the above. Maybe a reminder to check for old threads in the invitation to "Write something....". dunno.

Yes but it's not a dead thread yet and the purpose of me starting this thread was to raise awareness because when I started this thread there was an epidemic of people reviving dead threads an fighting and nasty pms going around about it so be a smart ass all you want cuz I achieved my objective

There used to be a red flag/bar at on threads over 90 days old. We're trying to get that back. In the meantime, we just have to pay attention as best we can ... and go easy when we stumble back into an old topic. Nothin' worth beating each other up about ...
