I have an old '72 tri-hull , '19 boat with a I/O 165hp merc Inline 6. I have had a leak at the reverse lock valve for a while and recently it has gotten worse , so I am trying to tackle that instead of having to buy a new trim pump. I bought the new o-rings and removed it from the transom plate.
Problem is there is a part that I am not sure how it goes back together. Specifically the follower and spring and ball. They kind of popped out when I was taking it apart so I did not really get a good look at orientation and which input it goes in.
Any help would be much appreciated. ......... Also, you can see the bigger ball and small spring...... are those part of it? Just asking because I found it next to where i was taking it apart and didn't know if those popped out somewhere as well. LOL
All the diagrams i can find on internet don't even to show the spring or BB's as a part.
