I'm a new member here so figured I'd share the pics
of the job my brother and I did on my bass boat.
The boat: 1987 Grumman Challenger 16 1/2 ft aluminum
gas motor: 1989 50 HP Mariner.
We installed new plywood decks front/rear, new carpet throughout,
and four new Tempress Navi-style seats. My brother Richie did
the awesome deck work, and I recarpeted the boat and we both
installed the seats. I think it came out pretty good since I had
zero experience carpeting a boat.
We did this partial resto job in June 2003. I did a complete write
up so if you're interested pm me for the link. Apparently I can't
post it here because my site has links to the place I bought the
carpet...so, here are a few before, after, and a current pic of the rig:

As purchased: looked like crap and the decks were rotted

Great job on the restoration, and if the quality of the aluminum work is as good as how they build their planes, that's a hell of a strong boat...they used to employ a ton of people here in LI, and back in WWII the Grumman factory in Bethpage was known as "The Iron Works" many naval aviators of that era owe their survial to Leroy Grumman's tradition of rugged construction....

Very nice job, I hope my boat a 1982 Lowe 16 Bass Catcher Pro which looks almost identical to yours comes out half as well as yours did. That is really a boat you can be proud of.
