Resetting digital instrument...

I have bought two new (second hand) digital instruments to my yamaha 90 hp. I wish to reset the total "in use"-time for them, can that be done using the dipswitches inside?<br /><br />Anyone having a schema for what the internal switch are designated for?<br /><br />TIA<br /><br />Jakob

No the hours are there for-ever. The other problem with buying Internet parts are alot of them are warranty part sold as used parts. As a shop rule we don't install used parts. We have had alot of problem installing used parts to find out later that they were warrany parts remove from someones service/parts department. Yamaha makes you hold the old parts(warranty) for so long and if they don't call for them You are to destroy them. They end up on ebay as used parts. We don't install part unless there is a factory seal on the box.
