Repowering a 87 20ft sportcraft open fisherman

The boat came with a 225 hp Johnson ocean pro and the boat dealer thought it was a 4 stroke and I blow it the first time out so I am thinking of putting two 25 - 30 hp outboard 4 stroke outboards on it I just use it for trolling and fishing anchored up to get away from the crowds and thoughts on it

The dealer thought it was a 4 stroke? Did you have anything in Writing from dealer with the motors Serial#, and that it was a 4 Stroke?
The incompetence of Dealers seems to be growing Daily
Granted, you should have seen the Oil Reservoir in the Boat?
No 'Lack of Oil' Alarms?

60 hp on that boat would be a dog at best.
Certainly wouldn’t plane.

Would cost you more to buy and rig the two small motors than to replace the existing motor with another 2 stroke

I am in Idaho does anyone know where I can find a good used 2 stroke in the 115 to 175 hp range and I have been looking up info for the boat it says it max HP is 200

I had a 150HP on my 19 foot beachcraft for 9 years. I then went to a 250hp and I can say the extra power is very nice to have.
