replacing vhf...

I have a 2000 century bay boat and it still has the original President VHF. It recently has gone out and I am looking to replace it. It is surface mounted above the steering wheel on the center console. I have looked up many different brands of vhf and they all seem to only make the bracket mounted version. I saw a few online that looked like i could possibly flush mount it but there is no detail in the description about sealing (gasket material) so that water will not leak into the center console. Has anyone solved this problem recently??

Just a comment: If the hole is as small as you can make it to install the instrument, silicon sealant can surely seal the hole in the dash/console to keep water out. Seems like a moot point to me. What am I missing?

Mark,
after further investigation, the "flush mounting kits" are sold seperately and they are not for all models... Thanks for your help!!!
