I have an old DuraCraft model# B-14, not sure the year and it's aluminum V-hull. The back board needs replacing and I was wondering, can I purchase the tool to replace the ribbits that I will have to drill out? I'd much rather the job myself and learn, than to pay someone. Thanks for your time and concern.

Can anyone tell me the year on this boat? Model# B-14, thanks again.

Welcome to iboats.

I think you are talking about the transom plywood.

Yes it is easy to replace. When you remove to old piece use it as a template for the new piece.

What rivets need to be removed? Usually you just drill the head off and you can remove it. I do belive you are asking about a pop rivet gun which is available at most hardware stores but be sure to use aluminum rivets. Any mixture of steel and aluminum will react over time.

Take a few pictures. Aluminum hull boats are the easiest to rebuild and restore :)
