Replacing gauges

I am trying to replace gauges from a 2013 nitro donor boat to a 2004 ranger. When I hook up the fuel gauge and turn on key, I get 10 volts on ground wire. Also happening when I try to hook up tach. HELP. Thank you

I have done that. I have also replaced the battery

Thought I found the ground issue. But it is draining battery. Unhooked wiring harness to gauges and checked the voltage . 9.8 volts. The motor harness is disconnected. There is nothing else that I can come up with that is draining my battery

Yes

Yes

then I suggest starting at ground zero with the wiring, ignition switch and controls and go thru everything.
