Replacing carpet on metal.

Need help with this too.
I think I read where someone suggested using acetone to remove the glue.

I will ask again and please see the pic.

The rear deck covers are metal and Im thinking of stripping the carpet and replacing it with new.

I live near Dalton Ga where this stuff is made and my wife tells me its cheap.

Anyone ever done this before?

i would rip it up, take a wire wheel on a drill or angle grinder, get the worst up, wash is down, dry, and use contact cement to install. ever thought about not using carpet. durabac bed liner. nautiflex. true it probably more than you can get the carpet for in Dalton.

Ayuh,......

Once the Fabric is Up,....... An AngleGrinder,+ WireWheel is the Way to Go......

Good idea fellas.

I will look into alternatives that are light and more durable than carpet.
