Replacement Carb for 1995 MerCruiser 5.7 Competition Ski

The carb on my 5.7 MerCruiser competition ski is missing parts on the choke assembly, these parts are no longer available and I have also been told that a new carb from MerCruiser is no longer available as well. The engine # is 0F230523. The number on the carb is 9661S0034. I have checked on line and the EldelBrock 1409 Marine Carburetor looks like it

Ayuh,.... Welcome Aboard,.... If it's got the Merc/ Weber/ Carter 4v carb on it now,....

The Edlebrock is the Exact Same carb,.... The parts interchange,....

Thanks, that's good news. Just wondering if you have any tips on the installation? I am wondering if I will have to make any changes to the throttle cable linkages and fuel line. Thanks

The number on the carb is 9661S0034...

That is a Weber 9661 4bbl, and the Edlebrock 1409 is an exact replacement.

Replaced the Webber carb with the EldelBrock 1409 today, just as you said an exact replacement. Many thanks.
