I recently purchased an 18 ft. Wellcraft. The previous owner warned me of the leak in the gas tank. It is a 40 gal. fiberglass gas tank. Is it ok to patch up a fiberglass tank? I’ve heard that these tanks seem to leak after a long period of time. Any suggestions? Thanks
Scott

RSDG,

Definately replace it! I replaced mine with a Tempo Plastic, rated for Gasoline and Diesel.
Tempo Plastic Tanks

Don't mess around like "tashasdaddy" said BOOM, sometimes big boom! Fuel vapor in bildge, spark, very bad!

Peace.

Ed.
