Repairing damaged floatation foam

I have been restoring a 1995 Wellcraft 190cc and found some damaged foam at the stern near the battery compartment. It is around a 10” square area. During the years the hole filled with water and has been difficult to completely dry out. Can I pour expandable polyurethane on the area when it’s not dry?

Thanks for the help.

Only way to fix water logged foam is to remove it and replace it

Maybe post a few pictures so we can see what you are seeing. As mentioned, the hull chamber should be cleaned out and dried out before new foam is added. Check the related structure for moisture saturation, as now is the time to fix it.
