I recently had to repair our Dutton-Lainson B2500 Boat Lift Brake Winch. Basically, when I raised the boat up, the winch wouldn't brake, and would simply unravel, dropping the boat quickly back into the water. In trying to work out how to fix this, I had a number of mishaps, and followed some bad advice that ended up wrecking a couple of tools. I couldn't locate any instructional videos on line, so once I worked out how to do this without wrecking tools, I made one. It has been posted to Youtube, and hopefully it will be useful to any boat users out there.
