I'm repairing the cover on a 20' Four Winns I just bought. First I'm replacing the snaps on the hull then I plan on doing some repair to the cover itself. Then I will use the snaps on the hull to mark the locations for new snaps on the cover.

Question: 1) What is the best way to get the old snaps out of the hull where they broke off. See pictures.
2) Anyone have experience with cover repair patches? There is one called Covermate Boat Cover And Bimini Bandage

or Covermate Boat Cover Reinforcement and Repair Tape.

Are they any good?

Any other suggestions?
Thanks

(Having trouble uploading pictures)

Is there a way to edit a post I made?

Update: I got all but 1 of the old broken off snaps out of the way. I was able to just push them into the hull. I used a nail as a "pusher" to push them back into the hole. I cut the tip of the nail off with wire cutters to provide a flat tip to push with. 1 or two would not go in so I screwed a small screw into what was left on the hole and pulled them out.

You have 1 hour to edit a post. Your update is fine, no need to edit the 1st post.

Thanks for the response. Why cant I upload pictures? I'm compressing them to under 2 Mb using Microsoft Office Picture Manager.

The compressed file is only 112 KB in jpg format but I get an "Error uploading Image" every time.

Doesn't matter how much you compress...what maters is the actual size in pixels of the picture. Don't load up anything bigger than 640x480.
