Well Im doing it I'm looking for a way into a barrel of moneys (AKA the last places I'd like to be). I just got my fathers old boat. A 1986 Bayliner capri 21' cuddy. The motor and drive have always ran great for us. However the last time we took it out I noticed a little unusal vibration in the deck when hitting a few larger waves. It needs a new interior and new carpet badly but I wouldn't put them in untill I know its sitting on a solid base.
I fully understand that this will likely mean new stringers and so on. Infact I know for a fact that a plywood bulkhead under the wall to the cuddy has 4' of rotted plywood at its base. I found this by poking around in the forward sump area that drains into the bilge.
Ive been reading and reading for weeks now. I have an idea what I'm getting into. And I'm sure being a cuddy cabin will make things even more difficult. Wood work dosent scare me because it is what I do. Epoxy and Biaxel will be new to me but it seems straight forward.
Thank you,
Mathew
