repair manual?

i am sorry to say that I am disappointed in the service manual i purchased from Ken Cook. i have a 25924 1956 30 HP Big Twin Electric. The service bulletin had inserts that said that the Carb portion as well as the ignition portion were "no longer available." These are in my opinion the two most important systems of the motor. Also, because these manuals are re-prints, the graphics are grainy and hard to see detail. Having paid over $60 for the manual with shipping, i was expecting all data bulletins as well as better quality printing.

Re: repair manual?

they were that grainy originally. OMC lost the original service bulletins not Ken Cook.

Re: repair manual?

none the less, $60 for an incomplete set is steep. had i known it would be missing that much information i would never had bought it. as it is i have no specs on my ingnition system and no specs on my carb. Also, i have no exploded view or overhaul step-by-step for the carb. this would come in quite handy since the carb is in about 50 pieces soaking in cleaning solution. Do you know where i might find the data bulletins i am missing?

I keep telling you guys, don't buy the Ken Cook manuals for the old motors, pre 1960-ish. The Seloc #1300 from here at iboats gives you a LOT more practical information.
