i am looking at this sailboat and its a great deal. He said that it is missing a piece of trim at the bow, looks cosmetic mostly. I was wondering how big of a deal it would be to fix it and how could i?

I would classify cosmetic as scratches and or light cracks, looks to me a bunch of material is missing from that.

my point is that it wont inhibit performance, classifying it as cosmetic to me

$20 dock molding will fix that, seal it first then screw the dock molding to cover the mess. Just did the same thing on mine. see pics.
I used a cartridge of PL 400 or something like that to seal the joint, cheap fix.
