Been out a lot more in a friends boat and have been able to sight see more than if I were running my own boat. I'm seeing more older Starcraft style boats, open bows that have the windshield removed, and only the drivers side console, if that's what it's called, left for a dash board. Does removing all this have any effect on the structure of the boat. Some of these are in the 18ft range with huge motors on the back, 150-200hp outboards, seems a little over the limit of the sticker in the boat. Thx.

The Starcrafts no. The hulls are built independent of the interior configuration. Some have a cuddy ( Chief/ Islander ), some are open bow with 2 consoles ( SS/ Offshore ), some are center console ( Mariner ). The hull itself is shared between platforms... Fiberglass boats sometimes do have them tied into structure.

And overpowering a boat would be illegal
