Can anyone tell me how to remover my steering wheel? I have removed the center bolt and the 6 hex key screws but from there, I don't know how to take the center plate off. What I am doing is trying to figure out why my steering colume is loose. When I turn, it feels like the steering colume is very loose. Thanks for you help.

Re: Removing my steering wheel

Are you tring to take JUST the wheel off, or the whole assembly? The wheel fits on a tapered shaft, and if you use a rubber mallet and bang the back of the wheel, it should break the fitted bond of the wheel and shaft

You didnt say anything about trim motor wires in your first thread. You just stated that your steering was loose. Anyway, are those wires behind the wheel? Where is the button for the trim located on your boat? Its in only two places that I know of, The throttle control, ar the dash. Like Mark 42 said. Pictures!
