Have a 1992 SS90 Skeeter that I just picked up this winter. Was looking to put some new SKEETER and SS90 decals on the boat. How hard is it to remove and put the new decals on. Whats the best way to remove, have a heard pinstripe remover will work well on a drill.

Also how hard is it to put on new decals, and any tips???

Heat gun and a fingernail. I de-stickered all 19' of my 1989 Starcraft. Re-applying is not hard. Easier if you take it to a graphics shop. :D

Re: Removing Decals

As stated heat gun best but be careful not ot melt the boat but a hair dryer works well too.

That will get the vinyl off the sticky part comes off with a little laquer thinner and some rubbing.

Used to work in a sign shop so to put them on get some masking tape, put a peice across the middle not on a letter and a peice on each end, this will help you line if up just right, when you get it lined up take the end tape off the longest side and and pull the sticker back, use a razor blade to cut the backing(don't cut through the mask on the front or you are screwed) hold the end up and work it on from the center tape to the end in a straight line with the word.

Pull the center tape off and put the rest on, take your time and don't don't try to lift it after it is stuck it will tear and if you get an air bubble poke it with the razor blade and work it out.

Good luck.

Pinstripe wheel works amazingly well for striping if yer doing that stuff too. Also removes the glue in my experience. Goo Gone, laq thinner also work.
