Removing Corrosion

What is the best way to remove or neutralize galvanic corrosion on aluminum? I've read about using white vinegar, Alumiprep #33 and Aluminum Jelly. Which is best and how best applied?

I recommend mechanically removing as much corrosion as possible (don't use a wire brush as that will cause more corrosion from dissimilar metals), treat with Alumiprep per mfgr instructions, treat with Alodine, and finish up with an appropriate primer. I always use an epoxy chromate, but there may be other suitable primers.
