Everything is pretty straight forward. Remove outdrives. Unbolt cables, two bolts at bellhousing, 4 bolts at motor mounts... check for ground wire on back of the block and starter wires. Disconnect exhaust boot from y-pipe. fuel line, power steering...
The biggest problem I had was the bearings were bad in the right front wheel on my engine hoist and I had to fight it to get the thing lined up and pulled back when lifted. .. kinda sucked. lol

Does the power steering pump stay, or do the lines come off and take everything together?
Also, once the main wiring plug is disconnected does that mean all the wiring (alt, starter etc) come out with the engine?
Thanks for the replies...

I unbolt the power steering pump and bracket, and lay them off to the side. however you could disconnect them if you want.

yes, main harness stays on the motor. battery cables get disconnected at the starter and ground at back of block

Make sure drive is in forward gear before removing or installing the drive.
You will have to use an alignment bar after you reinstall the motor and before you install the drive.
