Remove starter 84 25hp

I want to remove/overhaul my carb but the starter is in the way of one mounting bolt. Help?

Its held in by 4 bolts and some electrics, but you can likely leave the electrics hooked up. Just take out those 4 bolts, move it out the way, you should be good to go.

p.s. disconnect the battery from motor before you try this or any other electrical work. Any positive lead touches the casing, you'll see sparks...

Thanks. I didn't disconnect the battery. Should have waited on your response, but it did add a little spark to the job! Next question-- should water be coming out of the upper exhaust openings?
