I have a 1988 Searay Seville 16 ft.100 HP OB Bowrider that needs a repair to the piping on the stern seat backrest. Any advice on removing the backrest without destroying it? Aside from the piping the backrest is in excellent condition but to make the repair I have to remove it. I am thinking that if I can slide a hacksaw blade between the backrest and the back of the seat I may be able to cut through any fasteners holding it in place.
