OK, here's what I hope is an easy one for you guys. I am installing a hot foot (no problem), and remote trim switch on the steering wheel (need a little guidance). My question is, what is the easiest way to access the existing trim wiring in the remote shift unit (Quicksilver 3000, 1996)? Do I cut the existing trim wiring, make a 3-way splice, and extend some wiring out to the console? Seems there ought to be a better way. Also, who knows which wire is which (power, up, down). I have red, green, blue available. Thanks.

Re: remote power trim switch

blue is up, green is down and red is power. The trim harness that connects to the 3000 box is usually long enough to pull out under the dash for access assuming it wasn't zipptied excessivly from the factory. Your are on the right track, just make sure your splices are good.
