I am thinking about refinishing my PWC, there are a lot of blisters in the foot wells and some dings and chips in the hull. What is the best way to fill the gouges and nicks? What would be the best method painting or gelcoat? Hull was a dark purple at one time but has been redone by someone before me, topside is orginal white. Also will have to removed all the factory decals any suggestions on how to this? New to this so any help on methods and technique would be appreciated.

A hair dryer or heat gun will help to remove decals, just don't get it too hot.
Paint it, it is much easier.
Get some filler for the nicks at a marine supply store, they should be able to help you select a product that will work.

Thanks for the info, do you have any recommendations on paint what will do the best job with the easy application? When I start sanding the topside it didn't take long to hit the fiberglass the gel coat if that what it was was very thin. Can you seal this with paint without a problem of water intrusion? Any other information will be helpful in regards to primers how many coats ect.

Use a sanding primer on the areas where you hit glass, the primer is needed to stop the glass fiber from printing through the paint and to fill any defects in the surface. If you are going to spray it, get an automtive paint, they can match any color you want. If you want to roll and tip it, do a search in this forum and you will get details on that method. Each paint will have it's own recommendations on how many coats and how thick it needs to be.
PWCs are not in the water long enough to need a marine type paint.
