Rectifier wiring problem

I have a 1988 Force 50 hp, 507X8C and I removed the rectifier because all of the terminal ends were burnt up. I replaced all the terminal ends and I have a new rectifier but I am not sure how to place the wires since dummy me did not take a picture of their locations. As the rectifer is installed "AC" is marked on the top left, and there are no more markings. There are two yellow and green wires (for the trigger and stator) and one red and one black wire. Can anyone send me a picture or the proper wiring so that I do not short something out by misconnecting the wires?

Re: Rectifier wiring problem

There should be printed on your rectifier an (+) which goes to your circuit breaker, (-) goes to ground, (~) goes to ac wires, and (AC) also goes to ac wires. If you got the radio shack rectifer then upper left is AC, upper right is 12+ volts, bottom left is ground and bottom right is AC.
Becareful, this a rectifier and not a voltage reulator. I tested this one and I was getting over 16 volts dc, enought to cook your battery and fry your tach.

Hope this helps,
Tom

Not a picture but a wiring diagram. I'm not sure which model is yours but this has two diagrams on it.
