The black one I tapped in using a hammer and a socket wrench. I used a socket that was the correct diameter to put pressure on the edge of the seal ensuring not to damage it.
The red seal in the end cap is even harder. You need to bend it a fair bit and put it in sideways. Hard to do. Once in use the shaft of the screw driver to shape in round back into the grove. You will then have a tough time putting the shaft through the seal. Lube it, make sure it is straight, and use some force to get it on.
