why dont you look for another motor that needs a lower unit and just use your stuff on it its a lot cheeper dude and a lots less trouble good luck luckynickles

Replacement piston, rod, new rod bearings for both cylinders, new seals, gaskets, rod bolts, piston rings, 2 check valves, loctite 518, and all new reeds...all for less than $250. Don't think I'd find someone with a worn down Merc with a destroyed lower unit for that much...
