Rebuild for 2006 Johnson 90hp.

I need some advice on having an outboard rebuilt. It's a 2006 Johnson 90 2 stroke. It apparently was run hot and is now siezed. I've checked a few places in Fla and one in NC. Prices range from 2,000.00 up to around 3,000.00 Does anyone have any firsthand experience/recommendations with any rebuilders? Also, how feasible is it to try to gain more hp while having a rebuild done ? Thanks.

I thought there would be more response to this topic. I would really apreciate any thoughts,positive or negative, about places to take your outboard to have it rebuilt. Thanks.
